WOW! What a trip I have been on! Trips before my surgery weren't always this great. I used to hate to go to the movies for fear I couldn't fit in the seat. I hated going out to eat at busy times because I might not be able to move about freely between other tables. I also hated sitting in booths. I couldn't take a trip to amusement parks because I might not fit on the rides, and who wants to be told they can't ride. Flying in a plane was terrifying because the seats were so small.
My life has changed! I can now do all those things and I don't have to worry or be self conscious. Having the lap-band is the most wonderful adventure I have ever been on.
I chose the lap-band because it is safe, effective, less invasive, adjustable, and I have my own built-in maintenance program. I have no problems with malabsorption and I feel great. It is truly the best thing I have ever done for myself and it keeps getting better. I have now lost 110 pounds in 14 months. I have gone from a size 26 to a 12 and I think I'll be in a 10 really soon.
