Meet Dr. Frank Felts
Known for his compassion with his patients, Frank Felts, MD, F.A.C.S. was raised in Houston, Texas. He graduated with top honors from Texas A&M University and at the top of his class at Texas A&M College of Medicine. He completed his residency training at Scott and White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas, serving as Chief Surgical Resident.
Dr. Felts began a very successful general surgery practice in 1988 in Jacksonville, Texas and continued this practice for 18 years. He gained exceptional experience in laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery. He was the first surgeon in Jacksonville and surrounding areas to perform advanced laparoscopic procedures, including advanced laparoscopic hernia, gastric and colon surgeries. He has performed over 4000 advanced laparoscopic procedures.
Since early in his career, Dr. Felts has had an interest in the surgical treatment of obesity. In 2006, he had an opportunity to transition his surgical practice exclusively to Bariatric Surgery. It is a move he has totally embraced and thoroughly enjoys. Currently, Dr. Felts performs surgery at the New Hope Bariatric Surgery Center in the Colony, the Surgery Center and Hospital at Craig Ranch in McKinney, and Baylor Hospital in Carrollton.
Dr. Felts is a Board Certified General Surgeon. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.

Priscilla has been working with lap band patients for 2 years. She will collect and request medical records and verify benefits for surgery and office visits. Priscilla will preauthorize your surgery and assist you with your insurance questions. |
Karla has worked in the bariatric field for 7 years now. She started up one of the first out-patient bariatric centers in the Dallas area. She was able to obtain a COE status for the facility. Karla has been working as a RN for 20 years now and has circulated in the OR during bariatric surgery. She will be playing a large part in practice management and working directly with patients for Dr. Felts.
Miriam has been a medical assistant for 2 years. She has been with Dr. Felts since September of 2008. Prior to this, Miriam was employed as a medical assistant for a Family Practice physician. You will speak with Miriam for appointment scheduling and will see her each time you come in to our office 
Dr. Frank Felts is a bariatric surgeon providing weight loss surgery such as LAP-BAND and Sleeve Gastrectomy to the residents of Dallas and the entire North Texas area including McKinney, The Colony, Frisco, Plano, Allen, Addison, Richardson, Garland, and Mesquite.
